Some Stuff I’ve Made

The first in our liquid marbles series, which now includes half a dozen shorts and a pending co-authorship of a scientific paper.

I produced, script edited, directed, edited, and animated this one.
One of our later liquid marble shorts, a researcher in Japan collaborated with us on this one and sent us materials to experiment with.

Reactions’ all time most viewed episode, and Webby Award nominated as one of the internet’s best science videos of 2025.

I produced, shot, script edited, directed, edited, and animated.
Part collaboration with friends, part photographic experiment, this astrophotography timelapse dance film screened at Aesthetica Film Festival in York, UK, Oaxaca FF, and others, and won Best Short Film at the 2019 Ellensburg Film Festival.

I produced, directed, and edited.
An environmental film about making an environmental film, this passion project was a blunt plea to reconsider how we tell climate and sustainability stories. Selected for Big Muddy Film Festival and won the Humboldt-Del Norte Award for Best Film Celebrating Environmental Sustainability at the 2016 Humboldt Film Festival.

I produced, directed, wrote, animated, shot, and did the voice over.
It’s been a long time since I’ve made a demo reel, but I still like a lot of what’s in my most recent one from 2019.

I edited and created animation/motion graphics for everything here, and also produced and directed most of it.

About

I’m a Washington, DC based filmmaker. My nonfiction and experimental work has screened at film festivals around the world, some of which are listed above in my Resume. I’ve also done consulting and workshops on creative collaboration, giving & receiving feedback, and optimizing video storytelling for online audiences.

Currently a Supervising Producer at American Chemical Society, working on the PBS Digital Studios series Reactions along with other ACS video products. I’m involved in every step of the production process, from ideation and pitching through production and post. Previously done a lot of different things, most of which revolved around video production, science, the arts, and paying off student loans.
